Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's combat sport career began as a Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007, an award of bronze in 2008 and a medal with gold in 2011. Antonina was also named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion in 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. In 2012 she won her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by unanimity. Antonina shevchenko fought her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova in the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She took the win by second round TKO and won her next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled an overall record of three-three. Shevchenko stopped fighting to focus on the sport of kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by the unanimous verdict. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in a unanimous decision. She left the promotion in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the clinch. Antonina's UFC contract was extended in the wake of this win. Antonina Shychenko debuted for the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record during her subsequent three matches which included a win against Ariane Lipski, while falling to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
