Steven Tyler

Steven TylerThe band spent time on the Boston club circuit, and were advised by Frank Connelly their first manager. They began to work together with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. They signed a record deal in 1972 and released their eponymous debut album in 1973. The album was later followed by Get Your Wings and Toys in the Attic and Rocks. It brought Aerosmith global fame and recognition. These albums yielded legendary hits such as "Dream On", Walk This Way, "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way". Aerosmith's first five albums have also been multi-platinum and Toys in the Attic and Rocks are widely regarded as one of the most influential hard rock albums ever made. The band started to feel the effects of the fast-paced music industry, which included touring, living together and using drugs as the decade advanced. For their notorious use of heroin and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were sometimes called the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music contains several videos that illustrate their relationship. Tyler was more devoted to Aerosmith and disliked Perry for his passive attitude. Perry, on the other hand, was envious of Tyler's preference for females throughout his life. The tense dynamic between Tyler, Perry, and their former girlfriends was one of the main reasons for the decline of Aerosmith, circa 1980.
